Gilead House is giving hope to those in the community who need a voice—homeless single moms and their children. Thanks to a caring and generous community of churches and donors, we are bringing empowering programs to moms who are willing to work hard, make positive change, and learn skills to improve their lives and provide for their children. Gilead House is offering a Giving Tree as a holiday project for churches who would like to support the needy during the Advent season.

 

Here's how it works:

• Gilead House will provide all the materials you need for the project, including hand-made gift tags specifying a gift card amount, brochures, and instructions.

• Your church provides the tree or wreath to display the gift tags.

• Members of your congregation select and remove a tag and return the gift card requested the following week.

• Gilead House will collect the gift card donations at the end of the project.

 

 

Gift cards empower homeless mothers to purchase their own gifts, groceries and items consistent with their holiday traditions and culture. Additional gift cards are used throughout the year as needs arise.
