Natalie's Story

"When I first came to Gilead House I was at a very low point in my life. I had just come off being on an ankle bracelet for a year. I had eight felonies and my life had not turned out how I thought it would."

"I was finally looking at life through sober eyes, everything was new, it was like being reborn and having to start all over from scratch."

“When I came to Gilead House, I was seeking a way to give back. Having been a poor, single mom for 10 years, I had experienced many of the challenges our moms face.  I’d walked in their shoes and really wanted to be someone who could come alongside and help them find their way.  Most gratifying to me has been the up front, life-changing stories.  A lot of it is hard core.  God has blessed our program—both the moms and their children, and the by-product blessings in our lives—the people who are privileged to serve.”
