THE COMMUNITY BOARD
The Community Board for Gilead House is comprised of members from Marin Churches who serve as liaisons between Gilead House and their respective churches. They raise awareness of our mission through distributing brochures, newsletters, and providing opportunities to volunteer through the appropriate communication vehicles at their churches.
The board members promote GH’s special events such as the Olive Harvest-picking, dinners, etc. by distributing flyers and handling ticket sales as needed. They also represent their churches’ concerns and ideas to Gilead House, to generate mutual support. The volunteers serve for two years on the Community Board and, ideally, select their own replacements from their home churches.
