Who We Are

The goal of Gilead House is to offer realistic hope to families in need in order to facilitate successful transition to a stable life and permanent housing.

The purpose of Gilead House is to provide a lovingly supervised, structured program and environment for homeless families during a transitional period of up to twelve months.  The program consists of:

  • Income enhancement through further education and /or job skills training;
  • Basic personal financial management training which emphasizes money saving goals;
  • The development of parenting and other life-management skills;
  • Mentoring by sponsors who provide emotional support and healthy friendships to the residents.

The Gilead House vision is successful transitioning for the families who want, need and are willing to work for it, contributing towards making healthy relationships and financial stability a reality.

The Gilead House mission is to bring hope to families in need by providing transitional housing and life skills that lead toward a stable life and permanent housing.
